Arsenal legend Ian Wright has voiced his support for referee Glenn Nyberg’s call not to award Bukayo Saka a late penalty against Bayern Munich.

Saka appeared frustrated when Nyberg dismissed his appeals after a collision with Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer deep into injury time.

Despite facing boos from the home fans, not everyone associated with the North London club believed it was a clear-cut penalty.

Wright stood behind Nyberg’s decision and encouraged the team to shift their focus to the upcoming second leg.

In a tweet, he stated, “Not a pen for me. Work to do in Munich.”

The second leg is scheduled to take place at the Allianz Arena next Wednesday.
