Julio Baptista Tips Zinedine Zidane for Future Manchester United Managerial Role

Julio Baptista Foresees Zinedine Zidane as Future Manchester United Coach

Former Real Madrid teammate Julio Baptista has voiced his support for Zinedine Zidane’s potential future role as Manchester United’s coach. The duo shared the field during the 2005-2006 season at the Bernabeu. Zidane boasts an illustrious career, clinching three Champions League titles across his two managerial spells with Real Madrid. Despite his hiatus since departing Los Blancos in 2021, the World Cup winner has been intermittently linked to the managerial position at Old Trafford.

While Zidane has not shown explicit interest in a job at United or in England overall, the uncertainty surrounding current manager Erik ten Hag’s tenure has sparked speculation. With new owners INEOS on the lookout for coaching talent, rumors have circulated about Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s aspiration to bring Zidane onboard.

In an interview with Ladbrokes Fanzone (via The Metro), Baptista shared his admiration for Zidane, describing him as the best player he’s ever played alongside. Baptista also expressed his belief in Zidane’s future as a Premier League manager, citing his remarkable coaching acumen and extensive experience in winning the Champions League.

While Baptista envisions Zidane joining Manchester United, concerns have been raised regarding the club’s perceived lack of glamour. However, Zidane’s decorated track record and ability to handle high-pressure environments make him a compelling candidate.

Despite Zidane’s reported reluctance to learn English or reside in the United Kingdom, these hurdles may pose challenges to his potential appointment at Old Trafford, regardless of INEOS’s interest.
