Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino has outlined the two key aspects his team must focus on to secure a victory against fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League clash on Monday.

Chelsea currently occupies the 13th spot in the Premier League standings and is preparing to face Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs are currently in second place in the league, having won eight of their first 10 matches and being the only unbeaten team after Arsenal’s recent loss.

Chelsea have now told £100m player that he can be the main striker at Stamford Bridge

The match is highly anticipated, with both teams expected to put up a strong performance. Chelsea, despite their current position in the league, has the potential to challenge one of the league’s most in-form teams.

Pochettino emphasized the importance of two key factors for his relatively young squad to secure the three points. He explained, “I think the most important thing is to identify it in the right way. Just because you have more experience, it doesn’t necessarily mean you will perform better as an individual. In some cases, more experienced players might make more mistakes than younger players. The most important aspect for us is that we are still a young team, and we need time to understand each other.”

Pochettino clarified that age and experience are not the sole determinants of success, as it’s essential to be competitive, clinical in both attack and defense, and strive to dominate the games. He emphasized the need to learn from teammates and improve as a unit.

He further elaborated that their youth is not just due to the presence of young players but because the team requires time to come together, especially given the various circumstances and the return of injured players. Pochettino expressed optimism about the team’s future development.

Pochettino admits Chelsea need to avoid risks with Reece James fitness.

Pochettino acknowledged the challenges they’ve faced, such as injuries and other issues, which have made it difficult to manage the situation effectively. However, he believes that time, progress, and building momentum will ultimately lead to a winning streak for the team. He praised the talent within the squad and expressed excitement about the team’s future prospects.
